"Nearly 20 percent of girls age 8 to 12 regularly wear mascara- double the number from just three years ago, reports consumer research company NPD Group.  Fifiteen percent use lipstick, up from 10 percent.  'They're not sneaking this stuff,' said NPD's Karen Grant. 'They're doing the shopping with their moms."

Mascara on an 8 year old?
I'm sorry.  That's just no okay in my world.

Of course, this is coming from the woman that only wears makeup on a stage, or to an extra-special event.

But really?  8 years old?

Who wants their child to grow up that quickly?  Or believe they aren't beautiful enough without makeup?
I just don't get it.

I'm so glad I have a boy.
